10 Killer Ways for Blockchain Blog Idea Research 💡
Hidden Truth about Blockchain content writing 📝
Let's accept this:
Blog idea generation in an industry that is rapidly changing and developing new tools/techniques literally every single day is not an easy job. Keeping up with it is really difficult. Yet alone writing about it on trending topics.
So the traditional way of keyword research or planning doesn't work wonders in the blockchain industry.
We are seeing a rapid surge of new ideas floating online, with little to no traffic. So tools like Google Trends, Google Keyword Planner, and Uber Suggest are not really helpful.
So what should we do 😒 ???
Disclaimer: You can write about core concepts or popular topics using traditional keyword research.
Let's be completely honest here. Writing about any technical topic requires immense research and clarity of concept.
Also, for me as a technical person, the joy of learning something new and exploring beyond my boundaries fascinates me more, and eventually write to share the knowledge and experience in the form of blogs or tweets.
So, here are the 10 ways by which I learn and write about blockchain topics. I personally follow this strategy:
- Follow blockchain news and trends: Stay up-to-date on the latest blockchain news and trends by following industry publications and news outlets, such as Coindesk, Cointelegraph, and Decrypt.
- Participate and Join in blockchain communities: Join blockchain communities such as Bitcointalk, Reddit’s /r/ethereum, /r/solana, and Telegram groups to network with other blockchain enthusiasts and learn about the latest topics and trends.
- Monitor social media: Keep an eye on social media channels, such as Twitter and Youtube, to see what people are talking about in the blockchain community. Look for trending hashtags and discussions on blockchain-related topics.
- Attend blockchain events and conferences: Attend blockchain events and conferences, such as EthGlobal, Consensus, and Blockchain Expo, to learn about the latest developments and network with industry experts and thought leaders.
- Analyze other authors: Analyze the content and strategies of your other authors in the blockchain space to see what works and what doesn’t. Look for gaps and opportunities that you can address with your content.
- Conduct surveys and interviews: Conduct surveys and interviews with blockchain enthusiasts, investors, and industry experts to gain insights into their perspectives and pain points. This can help you identify topics and content that resonate with your audience.
- Analyze blockchain startups: Analyze the content and strategies of blockchain startups to identify emerging trends and topics in the blockchain space.
- Analyze blockchain use cases: Analyze real-world blockchain use cases across industries such as finance, healthcare, and supply chain to get inspiration for potential blog topics.
- Follow blockchain thought leaders: Follow influential blockchain thought leaders such as Andreas Antonopoulos, Vitalik Buterin, and Balaji Srinivasan on social media to gain insights into the latest blockchain developments and their perspectives.
- Check out popular blockchain blogs: Explore popular blockchain blogs such as Ethereum Blog, Bitcoin Magazine, and ConsenSys to get insights into the latest trends, applications, and developments in the blockchain world.
Summary
The more you explore, engage and communicate your thoughts, the more ideas you will have for writing blogs or content in general. There is no shortcut for quick content generation in blockchain and playing long-term will help you generate better quality content for longer duration.
